First win for the Belgian Cats at the Women’s EuroBasket 2021

First win for the Belgian Cats today at the Women’s EuroBasket 2021 against Slovenia (92-57).

After the loss against Bosnia yesterday, the Cats needed to react.

Philip Mestdagh’s team started the game strongly and thanks to Hanne Mestdagh (3/4 three pointers in the first half), the Cats were up by 26 at half-time (55-29).

In the second half, the gap kept increasing in favor of the Cats (92-57).

Emma Meesseman finishes the game with 23 points (10/11 shooting), 7 assists and 3 rebounds. Hanne Mestdagh had 13 points in 14 minutes.

The Cats will now play on Sunday against Turkey.
